Easy to install and seems to be working just fine. I’m able to get my full speed of my 1Gbps fiber connection throughput while connected to the VPN servers as well.

It has its up and downs as with anything however I find it works fairly well. We have only had occasional slow down issues, but usually at high traffic times. It’s better than nothing for those who can’t afford a high priced subscription based VPN, and handy when comes to protecting a person from identity theft. By just having extra encryption can give one feeling Peace of mind when anything involving financial, legal, or sensitive data can by made safer from cyber crimes. Can’t complain about anything as long as it works and is from trust worthy development team. Yes best of all it can by used totally free, but you can also purchase upgrades for a reasonably fair price.

Don’t get me wrong with this review; I’ve been happily using Nord VPN since its early days. It’s always been an excellent product for me as a retired investigative journalist and now that I’m a military historian. I do wish Nord VPN had not become so involved and complex when, after several hours, over two evenings, I tried to install Nord VPN on my new PC. Prior this this I had been working on a MacBook Pro and I recall that when I installed Nord VPN on that, and my previous Macs, it was simply a case of downloading the .exe file and Nord VPN took care of the rest. It was just ‘there’ and working without any further effort on my part. It was not the case today and yesterday when I struggled get the Nord icon to work in the Chrome Extensions at the top-left of every new Google page. OK, so I’m closer now to 70 than 60 but I used to be handy with setting up new programs etc. After nearly three hours, today, I finally got Nord VPN to open instantly from my favourite links below the Google logo every time I opened a new Chrome page. I changed my password and yet, I do believe, I got to this happy result by hitting the right keys etc. by pure chance. I thought it important to mention this in my review for any other ‘foundation’ users of Nord VPN out there, like me, who remember that setting up Nord VPN was a much simpler task. Apart from all of that, I now have Nord VPN operating perfectly and I can get on with my research and other work. As I said at the start, Nord VPN is an excellent program. I think I’m still paying for it on my old account that used to live in my MacBook Pro, but that’s been wiped and ‘left town’. So, I gladly, paid for a month-by-month subscription on this PC, even though it’s the least economic package. I didn’t want to shell out a two-yearly lump sum in case it didn’t work at all. Anyway, it’s well worth it to have Nord back up and running. Nord VPN gets a well-deserved 5 Stars (the download and set-up process gets a mere 2 Star rating from me). That’s probably because I’ve just fallen behind in my PC skill set. Sadly, everything is much more security focused these days. Finally, I hope Nord VPN has an understanding on-the-phone support team in case I lose the instant connection because, even though I recorded my new passwords in my password book, I can’t recall how I arrived at this point. They will have to put me on to the ‘Old Codgers’ Who Used To Be OK With Computers Department’. ;) All the best, Bill H.

It’s a very reliable free VPN and doesn’t take forever to load sites like the others. Even when not browsing from the best choice it’s very fast. If you’re looking for a VPN then this is it.

This is as good as VPNs get. I’ve been through a few, until settling on NordVPN. New connections are usually fast, and the number of countries with servers is huge. I can watch local TV stations from Ireland to New Zealand, which is great for watching sports like rugby and cricket when in the USA. But the main benefits are secure access while web browsing, the simple and intuitive Chrome UI, and the ease of use from my Android phone and tablet. The last two are great when accessing the web from public WiFi access points. IMHO, you should NEVER connect to a public WiFi (e.g. airports, shops, restaurants, etc.) while not using a VPN, and this one has become second nature for me.
