Chrome extension seems to be more reliable than PPTP in Linux machines. There is very little on network speed/latency with purevpn and I hardly notice anything. Overally happy with this for last 6 months!

Have been using for 5 years now and no major issues despite being in China where VPNs can be tricky. Latest Chrome extension is useful and has made browsing better. Support has always been excellent.

I would give the desktop app a 3 or 4 because of ipv4 and dns. This plugin for chrome (just for browsing) gets 5 stars.
